Actor and Performer

P. N. Singer has worked as an actor, director, comedy performer and voice artist. After appearances with the Marlowe Society and the ADC in Cambridge, he directed a number of plays at the Edinburgh Fringe, and in the 90s was active in the English-language theatre scene in New Delhi, where he also worked in television and film. Since 2003 he has written and performed comedy and performance pieces, including the Edinburgh solo shows Men On the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown and The Secret of My Failure. In May 2020 he created and recorded the podcast ‘Poems in Lockdown’. He also appears as Basil Cox in the BBC adaptation of Vikram Seth’s A Suitable Boy, directed by Mira Nair.
